Watercolor Masterclass

Learn all the essentials in creating with watercolors and how they react with other mediums. This course is perfect for anyone wanting to learn watercolors for the first time or learn new techniques to bring more life into their paintings.
We will be primarily working with watercolors, but also introducing things like colored pencil, chalk pastel, and oil pastel into the process to bring more life into the painting and create more interest. This is a new addition to the previously well-loved “Watercolor Landscape” workshop.
The Structure: The first half of the masterclass we will talk about, and break down various techniques and work with different mediums with the watercolors. I will answer any questions, and help students through the process. The second half we will apply the tools we’ve learned to paint a landscape together. At the end we will hold a 5-10 minute critique as a group and I will offer personal feedback on each of your paintings if desired!
This is a VIRTUAL class - so the live workshop will be held over zoom, and a recording will be sent to everyone enrolled following the masterclass.The recording will be available for 3 months. This means, even if you aren’t able to attend live with us, you will have 3 months to watch and rewatch this masterclass and paint along with me.
This installment includes a complete supply guide- including my favorite brushes + paper, my top 10 tips and tricks to know when painting landscapes with watercolors, descriptions of techniques used and when to use them, a color mixing guide, and an overview of color theory and why it can make or break your painting! The final page is a sample of 6 skies, labeled with techniques used to achieve them. (This will me emailed to you prior to the day of the masterclass)
** The last handful of images in this listing are previous students work, so you can get an idea of how amazing things come together! Some of these, it was their first time using watercolors.
